Pakistani community in Jeddah marks Saudi National Day

The Pakistani Executive Forum’s Jeddah Chapter organised a ceremony to mark Saudi Arabia’s National Day and express solidarity with the Saudi people.

A large number of Pakistanis attended the event, including representatives of different community forums and political parties.

Pakistani Executive Forum Central Chairman Munir Ahmed Shad joined the event from Riyadh, while Saudi Arabia President Kamran Qureshi participated from Dammam as an honorary guest. Pakistan Investors Forum Chairman Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood attended as the chief guest.

Pakistani Executive Forum Jeddah Chapter head Chaudhry Zaheer Ahmed and Saudi Arabia General Secretary Ansar Iqbal Mughal welcomed the participants and congratulated the Saudi leadership and people on National Day.

Speakers, including Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, Chaudhry Azhar Waraich, Chaudhry Tasawwur Hussain, Sardar Ashfaq, Jan Gulzar, Mehar Abdul Khaliq Lak and Ali Khurshid Malik, described Saudi Arabia as a second home for Pakistanis.

They expressed wishes for the Kingdom’s continued peace, progress and prosperity and thanked the Saudi leadership and government for providing employment opportunities to Pakistani expatriates.

The speakers also highlighted the contribution of overseas Pakistanis and their families to Pakistan’s economy.

Munir Ahmed Shad and Kamran Qureshi congratulated the Jeddah Chapter on organising the event and extended National Day greetings to the Saudi leadership and people.

Chief guest Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood highlighted the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and assured the Pakistani Executive Forum of his cooperation.

Pakistani and Saudi national songs were also performed during the ceremony.

The event concluded with prayers for the peace, progress and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.
