Sahibzada Farhan to lead Pakistan: Mike Hesson expresses disappointment over Salman Mirza’s injury ahead of Japan trip
Pakistan’s T20 cricket team will leave for Japan tomorrow to participate in the Asian Games under the leadership of captain Sahibzada Farhan.
The national team is currently holding a practice session at the National Bank Cricket Stadium as preparations continue for the tournament.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, former Pakistan Test head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed has also joined the team’s practice session.
Ali Raza, Ahmed Daniyal, Saad Masood, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Sahibzada Farhan and Haider Ali took part in the training session.
Saim Ayub, Maaz Sadaqat, Usman Khan, Sufiyan Muqeem and Hassan Nawaz will join the squad later.
Speaking to the media, Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson said the team would travel to Japan tomorrow to take part in the Asian Games.
Mr Hesson said he was disappointed by Salman Mirza’s injury. However, he added that if the conditions in Japan proved favourable, Pakistan’s batting could perform better.
