Shahdara trader gets Rs5 million extortion threat

A local trader in Shahdara Lahore, has received a demand for Rs 5 million in extortion money along with threats to kill him if the amount was not paid, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

According to the police and case details, trader Sajawal Ali received a phone call from accused Zohaib Butt, who demanded Rs 5 million and threatened him with serious consequences over non-payment.

Meanwhile, unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire at the trader’s premises.

Police have registered a case against accused Zohaib Butt under charges of extortion and other serious offences and initiated further legal proceedings.
