Ducky Bhai, Aroob Jatoi face backlash over Rs1 crore spending vlog
Popular YouTubers Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi have come under fire on social media after their latest vlog featuring a Rs1 crore spending challenge that created a strong reactions from viewers.
The vlog, titled “Spending 1 Crore PKR in 24 Hours”, begins with Aroob holding stacks of cash as the couple sets out to spend Rs1 crore within a day.
Their spending spree included a luxury dinner costing around Rs50,000, followed by discussions about buying a car.
However, Aroob reportedly advised against the idea and instead opted to book a new iPhone worth around Rs1.1 million.
The couple later headed to Damna Jewellers in Liberty, where Aroob purchased gold bangles and a jewellery set.
A significant portion of the challenge budget was reportedly spent on jewellery, while the jewellers also gifted her another set and offered a 100 percent discount on making charges.
However, the vlog soon became a topic of controversy.
Many social media keyboard warriors questioned the decision to showcase such lavish spending at a time when many ordinary people are struggling with rising living costs.
Several commenters also criticised the content as insensitive and out of touch and some strongly objected to the display of wealth.
