Pakistan Navy seizes 2,800kg narcotics worth $750m in Arabian Sea
Pakistan Navy ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK have conducted a joint major counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at approximately $750 million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, during routine patrolling, a Pakistan Navy team intercepted a suspicious boat.
During the course of the investigation, over 2,800 kilograms of narcotics were recovered from concealed compartments onboard the vessel.
This remarkable achievement reflects Pakistan Navy’s sustained surveillance, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to regional maritime security, global peace, and the fight against illicit trafficking at sea.
Upon the successful execution of the counter-narcotics operation, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf commended the officers and crew of PNS HUNAIN and PNS YARMOOK for their professionalism, vigilance, and dedication.
He emphasized that the Pakistan Navy remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard national maritime interests and good order at sea while continuing to contribute towards the safety and security of the global commons.
Earlier in October 2025, the Pakistan navy seized narcotics worth about $972 million in the North Arabian Sea in an operation with a Saudi-led task force.
The navy's YARMOOK ship, operating under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force of the Combined Maritime Forces, carried out the operation.
