Islamabad head constable suspended after video of unauthorised picket goes viral

A police head constable has been suspended after a video surfaced on social media showing him allegedly setting up an unauthorised checkpoint and forcibly searching citizens in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV.

The video prompted SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza to take notice of the incident and order the immediate suspension of the head constable.

SSP Operations directed SP Saddar Kazim Naqvi to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a report.

Qazi Ali Raza said inappropriate behaviour with citizens and misuse of authority would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

In a video, the police officer was allegedly seen conducting searches of citizens after setting up a checkpoint on his own.
